This reef collage was created using a variety of my favorite slides. Over many months, countless hours were spent in considering what slides and what part of the transparancies were to be used, how they were to be placed compositionally in the finished image I envisioned and learning how to go about doing this. I hoped to create a scene that could depict the true beauty of the underwater world that would be impossible to capture just photographically within the limits of lighting, composition and color and hopefully convey the love, wonder and respect I feel for the marine environment. Within this scene I could live and dive every day. These slides were scanned on drum scanner at very high resolutions. Using image editing software the scene I envisioned was created. I chose to have this beautiful image printed onto archival canvas using an Iris printer and the finest inks available to reproduce the long lasting and vibrant colors I wanted to portray. I'm certain you'll find this reef collage as inspiring as I do. I presently sell these iris giclees in two standard frame sizes; 20" x 24" limited edition of 125 and 30" x 40" limited edition of 75. These can be shipped rolled, or stretched ready for framing.
